Just installed our new hub (s/h 2) and now our wifi cameras our now very slow and buggy and dont always connect. Buffering to nearly 99% most of the time now where as it never buffered hardly at all with previous hub.
Noticed also, only get 2 bars on my phone even when in the same room. Anyone having similar issues?
Just to add, had to bring printer into room with router to get it to connect. Spent an hour on phone to helpline but couldn't help

Welcome to this user forum for BT Retail phone and broadband customers.
Some general advice based on what has been posted on this forum before.
Turn off the 5GHz wireless band on the Smart Hub 2, and see if your cameras connect properly. Most Wi-Fi cameras are 2.4GHz only.
That will also ensure that if you are using an app on your phone, it will be connected to the same band.
Hi Keith, have done that and it has helped. Thanks very much
If you are using a phone app to view the cameras, your phone will almost certainly be dual band, and will try to connect to the 5GHz band as a priority. This causes the issues you are seeing, and also possibly the low signal level on devices, as 5GHz only has a very short range.
For most wireless devices in your house, 2.4GHz is more than adequate and will give the best range.
If you must use 5GHz, then adding a separate 2.4GHz wireless access point, just for the cameras, on a different SSID, is usually the best option.
Cheers, I also rescanned the channel and it changed from channel 1 to channel 6 and works perfectly
Many thanks
Excellent 🙂
