Re: Bt sport spoiler free on tv app

@thetownfool development of BT Sport stopped in December, with only essential fixes being made where needed. TNT will be launching their apps in time for the next football season.

I think I pre-emptively posted before I saw your later update @DarrenDev

Do you know much about the TNT situation? Are they also based here in the UK etc.

Im @Gmail.com If it's too sensitive here lol

My understanding was that BT Sport content ( soon to be TNT) was being folded into the Discovery+ app. Talk of new apps being launched suggests to me that something has now changed.

Re: Bt sport spoiler free on tv app

I searched specifically to understand how I might watch sports on my TV without the results being revealed as part of the programme line-up. It would have been great if the results / replay programme content had been separated as different sub-menu items. @Troycyclone hit the nail right on the head. Knowing the result before watching (e.g. MotoGP) is really, really frustrating.

We wish TNT the best of luck in trying to make the right choices in their new app - it's impossible to please everyone.

For the TNT team, this would include making subtitles available for us deaf old farters, something which was in the BT pipeline but never quite got there!

Other than that, the BT Sport app on either of our Smart TVs (a Sony and a Samsung) has been first class. At least I can have the subtitled commentary around the goals on the BT highlights on YouTube, sometimes less than an hour after the final whistle.

There's a LOT of functionality to add to the app, that would only be relevant to the UK market. I don't know whether it'll be added to the D+ app (thus bloating it for everyone) or if they'll launch a new TNT Sports app. I can't imagine it'll make much difference to you either way.

We were SO close too. The apps were ready. We were just waiting for the subtitles to be added to the streams.

Darren, is there any chance the TNT developers will be given all the coding, including the untested subtitling addition OR are they simple taking over the programme "rights" and using their own platform to broadcast?

They're using all their own code and apps.
Given they already have subtitles on their own content in their own apps, I would be very surprised if they didn't support it in the new app. As I've said though - I'll find out at the same time as you guys. I'm not expecting to get an early view of it.
