Hi everyone,
I just got a Panasonic TV and I’m trying to figure out the easiest way to stream movies from my MacBook Air. I’ve tried AirPlay, but it doesn’t seem to work with my TV model. Are there any apps or methods that make this easy?
Any advice would be super helpful!

Hi @baker_p
I hope you are keeping well.
You could try connecting via a HDMI cable if Airplay is not an option.
Or alternatively if your TV allows you could try screen mirroring, both the TV and MacBook will need to be connected to the same WiFi Network > open up control centre and select Screen mirroring then select your TV from the list.
Thanks
Ritu
Presumably the Panasonic TV supports Chromecasting?
In which case install the Chrome browser on your Macbook and cast from the various streaming services that way.
(don't know if the usual suspect apps for a Macbook support casting)
I've been testing Elmedia Video Player for a couple of weeks now. It supports streaming to various devices, including Panasonic TVs. It also supports a wide range of video formats. I hope this guide helps you https://www.elmedia-video-player.com/stream-mac-to-tv/
You could also just try Plex, it’s a solid option.
