I switched on TNT Ultimate 4K to watch the start of the season but the sound is terrible, popping and cutting out. This is on the normal channel list on the BT TV Pro.
It works fine on the HD channel. I have used BT Ultimate channel for years with no problems.
I have switched to the discovery+ app 4K channel on the same TV Pro box and it works much better.
I have a solid 60+ mbp broadband connection.
Anyone else experiencing issues?
Nope. I've just turned Ultimate HDR on it's rock solid so could have been an on site/stadium issue

I’ve been watching on Ch 465 since it started. We lost sound for the chat between Darren Fletcher and Ally McCoist, although there was background stadium sound and I think Lyndsay Hipgrave could be heard talking to a producer. I switched to Ch 430 and continued to watch the chat between Fletcher and McCoist on there with no issues.
@mnich if it's only happening on the Pro Box, I'd give it a reboot (power cycle)
@Brucemeister5 I believe an issue with the TNT Sport Ultimate sound was reported in message 135 of the large TNT sports thread.
I think that issue only affected the conversation on the gantry on the Ultimate streams . IT was also on the discovery+ ultimate stream (around 52 minutes into the broadcast) but not on their HD stream,
It seemed resolved when they went to ad break and returned to on pitch discussion after a few minutes,
Yes, I also had the issue with bad sound/video glitches with Ultimate on the BT pro box.
It wasn't there on the D+ app or the normal 'HD' channel. That's not to say there weren't issues with these two channels. There was.
I thought me using a wired connection would help elminate any of these issues?
Exactly the same as me. Just the TV channel was going wrong.
I don't think the wired connection was the issue (otherwise you would get buffering). I thought that either the TV box was glitching or there was something wrong with the stream. At one point Rio was repeating the same word like a rap song.
I was flicking between the TV channel and the app and I also noticed the missing sound from the commentary box.
First day back teething issues, I am sure it will be better today 🙂
First thing I tried and I rebooted the BT HUB. I was thinking of resetting the BT TV box but I will wait and see if it does the same today.
