Trying to Subscribe to TNT Sports

I was an existing Discovery + user  (just for the sports) with a rolling monthly contract until I saw the half price offer for £10 per month from BT for existing BT Broadband Customers. I cancelled my discovery+ and tried to take up the offer, however the BT website failed several times and I was unable to take up the offer before the deadline on 8th August. I have since tried to take up the £20 per month contract (as I was paying £30 to Discovery) but it still fails with different error messages , usually "something went wrong at our end please call our helpful operators on 150" or  "You have entered mismatching information, Looks like your BTID doesn't match up with the details you entered [*Log out CTA*]"

I call 150 and after 30 minutes in the queue they say yes there is something wrong with your account I'll put you through to second line, and there it ends with on hold music for an hour and more until I give up.

Surely the must be an alternative way of getting through to someone who knows what to do apart from complaining by post?

Sorry for your poor experience.  They shouldn't have put you on hold for second line - they should have just raised a fault, for someone to deal with it offline.  Unfortunately, your only option is to call again - but insist a fault is raised.
