UFC Fight Night

Go to solution

Anyone know why the recording of the last 2 ufc fight nights has not shown up the following day to watch? Annoying as only purchase TNT sports to catch the recordings. Thanks

Neil

Hi @Runningbrakes  is it not on TNT Sports 4 at 9pm tonight. I also believe it is available on discovery+ already.

Thank you. Waiting till 9pm the following day isn’t helpful (having to stay away from all social media till then) and it’s not on discovery + (only the highlights)

It used to show the replays the following morning so I’m keen to understand has there been a change of policy on main events replays (I suspect the vast majority of people want to see the replays the following morning). Thank you so much for replying, I do appreciate it! Neil

Are you referring to Whittaker v Aliskerov from last night? The full fight night is there in the app - Sports, All Sports, Mixed Martial Arts, scroll down to just below highlights.

I am and I found it thank you.
why do you think it’s buried there and not in the UFC section where all the UFC fights are?

Thanks so much!!

Couple of observations

Finding content on Discovery + is sometimes very challenging particularly when content may be provided in various formats eg full replay , extended highlights , highlights ,  TV channel stream (with ads)  ,  streaming channel (ad free) , and extra quality (UHD/HDR) stream. Plus you end up potential seeing spoilers whilst looking.

For this type of recent event  perhaps the easiest way to find it is within the discovery + app to visit its schedule(Tv guide) for yesterday and you should see yesterday’s original  programme listed and the option to play it.  going via that route should avoid seeing spoilers.

Unfortunately the EE TV  box discovery + app has not to date added a schedule so that route doesn’t exist. Most other devices with discovery plus do though so it depends upon your device of choice to view on.

What EE TV could do is ensure that the on demand content from discovery + is returned by the Youview universal search and also that playable links are provided from TNT sports channels in the EETV box  backwards EPG.

As for the 9pm timing of the rerun on the linear channel, there is statement on some of the available streams that  “This programme contains……strong violence throughout.” so i suspect that some broadcasting watershed considerations may be here although using mandatory viewer PIN protection could have been considered. That has been used on the past for some events,
