Will BT Sport ever be available in the Mac App Store?

Rather than force users into a sub-par web player does BT plan to take advantage of Apple's cross-platform development tools like Catalyst to port the BT Sport iPad app to the Mac?

No. There are no plans to offer a Mac app, and the Windows app no longer works.
The web app is all that is available on both operating systems and will remain this way until the channels move into the Discovery+ app.
