Broadband and BT sports

Go to solution

I’m about to sign up with BT broadband and also BT sports, is Now TV free or will I have to pay for it at some point during my contact?

Hi @gibbo431

Several NOW TV passes have a 7 day free trial, but after that you will need to pay. Your two options are:

  1. Buy and manage your passes directly with NOW and access content via the app on the TV box (and other devices) or
  2. Buy them via BT, which allows you to add them to your bill, use the app on the TV box (and other devices) and watch and record them just like normal linear channels via the TV Guide

1 is cheaper and more flexible but live channels are delayed by 60 - 90 seconds, 2 is more expensive overall but has the added benefit of recording and live channels are within around 10 seconds of a normal broadcast (such as on Sky Q).

For many, that reduction in delay is key, especially if you are into live sports. The choice though, is yours.
