Hi, Have to change to EE tv from BT tv and was wondering if you can view UHD on the EE mini box. Also, do you have to connect the mini box via WiFi or can you plug in wired if you have the facility?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Just to clear any misunderstanding there is no BT TV anymore , it is EE TV. That is as a result of BT group deciding to focus on EE as being its principal consumer brand.
The EETV products and offers available with BT broadband differ from those available with EE broadband. So if you opt to move from the BT broadband to EE broadband you have a different set of offers for the EE TV service ( for example the option of Apple TV box rather than a Box pro recordable device if you wish , and current offers of a free Box mini as a multiroom option ).
You should not at this stage be forced to move to EE broadband as BT broadband still available as a brand .
There are some reported issues with the EE TV box mini when on Ee broadband over Wi-Fi with EE smart hub see post c 6th Sept in

You can use a wired connection for the Box mini (there are guidelines as to recommend maximum distance from the hub).
The EE TV Box mini would have the same live TNT Sports ultimate channels available as the Box pro and the on demand players should be at least as good if not better as those on the Box pro. The Box mini does operate in IP mode for its free to air channels ( ie no aerial option).
At the time of posting EE TV have not announced when and on what devices the recently launched Now Ultimate Boost will be available.
That's really good information. Many thanks.
As good as, sure, but why would the players on the Box Mini be any better than those on the Box Pro?
Thanks. Somebody pulling a FAST one…
