Until recently the online web tv player worked fine, yesterday it stopped working with this error

I have already updated Silverlight, which was the original issue- does it even still use that, deleted the playready file in ProgramData, cleared caches etc and tried it from Chrome and Edge. All give the same error above having briefly displayed a title screen for the program i'm trying to watch (eurosport1). The pc is a basic HP I5 job with no fancy video card and only a single screen fed via displayport. The channel works fine via iphone BT App so its not a subscription issue.
Any suggestions please?
