I’ve just binned Sky in favour of BT TV, and signed up for the Entertainment package.
I was under the impression AMC was included, but whilst there’s literally a handful of content free to watch, most is subscription only. The Walking dead, for instance. Every season.
Am I wrong in thinking this should be free to watch too?
Solved! Go to Solution.
@smudge493 AMC is available to all BT subscribers HD version on channel 381 The Walking Dead is a different series to Fear The Walking Dead which is on AMC, that’s why you have to pay extra to watch TWD. AMC does show a lot of films these days with catch via the BTTV app.
AMC sold the global and life time rights to Fox (FX) when the program first launched because they didn't have their own worldwide network. Fox was subsequently bought by Disney and Disney+ is now the home of The Walking Dead. AMC retained the rights for FTWD and the other spin off was sold to Amazon Prime because of low accessibility to the AMC Network in quite a few territories.
Ah, right. Thanks for clearing up the confusion, guys.
