Couldn't really understand your post but if I guessed right you were asking what was the point.

The point was the comparison with Now offering great deals to watch football and EE apparently misleading people.

Now are offering deals to watch sport, not just football. There will come a time when Sky will lose some sports/competitions, EE will no doubt look to add something to replace the football they are losing.

That is business, just because you are only looking at if from a football point of view, your argument that EE is misleading people is irrelevant. Some may celebrate the loss of football and welcome something worthwhile to watch 😜

In terms of price, there's also the value of the recordable box to consider. Whilst the days of recordable boxes seem numbered, in my opinion it adds significant benefits (and worth paying for), over streaming.
