Quarantined Images

Go to solution

@James-B

Is there really a need for images to apparently need to be approved before being published? When so many queries require the inclusion of screenshots, it's making responding to queries difficult/impossible.

This thread for example was started by someone who's been a member for four years, yet his images are apparently quarantined.

Re: Quarantined Images

Hi @Anonymous,

The pre-moderation process for images is there to protect members: it helps prevent accidental uploads of personal information on a public site, and also stops inappropriate content from being published.

Approvals are usually handled pretty quickly by our moderators during working hours, and Community Leaders can also approve images if they’re active outside those times.

If you ever notice that an image hasn’t been approved in a reasonable time, just drop me or one of the mods a message—we can check whether it was rejected or just waiting for approval.

Thanks

James

@James-B

Thanks.

While I have your attention, is there any chance of getting the "reply" button fixed so that it works as intended? ie it should be a reply to a specific post & indicate such, probably by quoting it. I know this has been raised previously on a number of occasions & isn't a limitation of the Khoros platform, so must be the way it's been configured.

Hi @Anonymous,

I'm not sure there is an out of box feature that would automatically quote the comment you are replying to (there is a button for this in the post editor) but you can make it indicate which user you're responding to.

I'm looking at the backend now to see what I can do.

Thanks

@James-B

There would be no purpose in having a reply button in every post otherwise? I'm sure I found an example of this on another Khoros platform previously, I'll see if I can find it.

Edit
Ironically, it was the EE forum were it was behaving correctly.

Hey @Anonymous,

The EE community doesn't automatically quote the comment you're replying to, but it does show 'In response to USERNAME' at the top of the reply.

@James-B

So why can't it do the same here?

Hi @Anonymous,

I've been doing some testing and it isn't working as expected when activated in the admin console. It could be that we are using another feature/customisation that isn't compatible.

I'll continue looking into it.
