Using mobile as a router

Anyone know if there is a way I can use my mobile for a couple of hours to connect to my work laptop for a couple of hours while away from home.
I'm in a van, so would save me having to seek out a cafe to make a few work calls 🙂

Hi

Yes, assuming the data tariff for your mobile permits it that there is a standard process known as a Personal Hotspot which allows your laptop to connect to the mobile using WiFi.
From memory: 
If you have an iphone then with your phone's wifi turned on go into

Settings
Mobile Data (on)
Personal Hotspot (on)
Allow others to join (on)  
Set a password 

You should then be able to see your phone name in the laptop wifi.
