Downloading e-mail attachments

I have used Duckduckgo browser for a long time but recently (last three months) have been unable to download PDF attachments when using BT e-mail. When hovering mouse pointer over attachment and clicking "Downloads" nothing happens.  If I use Brave browser it works! Anyone any ideas pl. ?

If it works when you use another browser that tends to suggest the problem is with the Duckduckgo browser.

Have you checked the browser's settings to see if the place that the downloads go to is correct and it is allowing PDF to be downloaded and opened?

Have you tried clearing its history and cookies or uninstalling DDG and then reinstalling it?

Thanks for the quick reply. I have uninstalled/re-installed Duckduckgo and checked download location. Problem still exists. I have also e-mailed DDGO who simply refer me to their e-mail protection which I have turned off.
