Email attachment turns send button pale

I am trying to send a short email with a 39.4b attachment to 2 recipients. As soon as I attach the word doc "send" button goes lighter and nothing happens. Why cant I send this email please

It’s probably too big.

Bit difficult to tell for sure as “b” is not a recognised unit of measurement.  Attachment sizes are usually in KB or MB.  If memory serves, 25MB is the max attachment size allowed on BT mail.
