There would appear to an large BT Mail email outage.
I would strongly suggest that you do NOTHING especially trying to change passwords or deleting and reinstalling accounts.
It will no doubt cause you more problems than it solves.
BT will no doubt be aware of the problem and be working to resolve it.
Don't you just love BT's turn of phrase: "We are experiencing problems...." - as if its system not working is something that is being DONE TO BT....whose spotless organisation is the VICTIM of the problem, not its cause!
This "We are experiencing..." message is something I have been seeing with EVERY VISIT to webmail for more than 6 months - IF I stay logged in for long enough, or spend more than a few minutes composing a lengthy email. Usually, it is not even a truthful indicator of the system not working as, if I dismiss the error message, gnash my teeth both at the characters I typed and lost before I noticed and at the pointless interruption....I can usually send the message anyway.
The cost to this is that for every minute that the message remains un-despatched, webmail saves another draft of it, having failed to recognise and to overwrite the previous draft to the same recipient with the same title saved a minute earlier. These duplicates.....they are SO DIFFICULT to detect, aren't they BT? Once, I had to delete 19 drafts of the same message to tidy up the mess.
But this time BT seems not just to be crying "Wolf!" but actually to have properly stuffed things up. And the organisation will no doubt also be unrepentant, will give us no explanation of the cause afterwards, will fail to have written the error-trapping software that would tell it that these messages are being triggered most (or maybe every) day. And will therefore also fail to draw the inference that some investigative and fixing work for what is a systemic problem is called for. And most certainly will pay the boss's performance bonus in full and on time. Bravo!
Funnily enough, am still getting my BT emails via Gmail 🤣 Despite BT having problems and no webmail on BT's site or with their app!
Strange...I'm getting nothing via Gmail.
Not possible to send or receive BT emails. Central London area.
Same here. Not working on either my PC or my Android phone
Nope, my bad, now no BT mail arriving via Gmail either...... guess my meter readings will have to wait... or this another plot to encourage installation of the dreaded not-so-smart meter?
