My last email received was today Wednesday 6pm.

Once the technical problems are resolved and we can all access emails again, will any emails sent during the "downtime" arrive in the inbox ?

I know that's hard to answer for sure,  but what usually happens after these type of outages ?

Usually, the undelivered messages will be held on the server and will be sent when the service is working again.

Without apology or explanation, so just be grateful when you get them.

Same here for WebMail and IMAP, in that last worked at 18:30 but still able to download my messages via POP3 which uses a different port.
Either the authentication server for Web and IMAP is different for the IMAP/Webmail services or someone has been doing some reconfiguring and got it wrong or it is something more sinister...

The email service is getting increasingly patchy and one can't help thinking it is been done to drive the last of us off it or to use it as justification to close it down and if this is so it is poor form on BT's part.

I'll add my "me too" here.

Nothing since around 18:40 and no way to use other tools to see messages - Outlook / Mobile

As usual BT issue no details as to why we can't access our emails or an estimated fix time on their status pages.

So, are BT being a **bleep** email provider intentionally so we migrate to other platforms?

I have wondered the same myself more than once...

Seems IMAP is back up now as well, at least here at 10pm, but not WebMail or getting them through the BT App.

This is possibly due to a recent outage for BT email that is causing this. We have got an update from Email Expert Team and there is a known issue with BT Webmail and BT email app. They are working on it and will fix this for you within next 30 minutes to 4 hours.
