Has BT been hacked? So common now!
After yesterday’s email issues, I’m appalled and extremely disappointed with BT for the lack of clarity and communication. The least I was expecting once the problem was resolved, is an email to all users apologising and giving us some feedback on what happened. Not very impressed.
My wife's phone and tablet are still having problems this morning with a strange no network message despite being connected
Are you presently a BT Broadband customer or are you paying for your email through a BT Premium email account?
If neither of the above your email account may have been downgraded to a BTMail Basic account which can not be used with an email client

If the above does not apply was her email account set up on this BT Broadband account or had you left BT and since come back to them and the email account was set up under the "old" email account?
The outage seems to be approx 6pm to 10pm 'ish.
When it came back online, can you see the emails that were sent to you from other during this 4 hour period , or might they be lost ?

We're aware that some BT Mail customers experienced issues accessing their email last night. The issue was identified and resolved in less than two hours.
