WEB MAIL : Since April Fools Day 01/April/2026

Go to solution

Hi there.

I've 3-devices, two browsers Firefox & Edge. I use 2FA/2SA and anything offered as extra security.

Since the 1st of the Month, all 3-devices have lost their 'TRUSTED' status and I'm using the presented security 'PASSCODE' to access my webmail.

Any fixes would be appreciated. CHEERS-!-rg.gif

There would appear to be a few posts regarding this happening.

I have asked the moderators to investigate why this is happening. ie have BT changed something with the two factor verification.

I will inform you of the result once it is known.

I have been informed that there have been changes to the BT 2 Factor sign in which may require previously trusted devices to use the PIN.

There is no way for the user to mark the device as trusted however it should become known as a trusted device by the system after a couple of weeks of use but may need authenticated each time until then.

RESTORED TRUSTED : WEB MAIL : Since April Fools Day 01/April/2026

FWIW.

The 'MANDATORY PASSCODE' issue would appear to have resolved itself.
Login to Webmail, now comes with no 2FA/2FS VERIFICATION.

. . .  unless a formal post, as to the state of TRUSTED/2FA/2FS VERIFICATION, is forthcoming ?

MYBT, new Login Screen.
1st attempt. PASSCODE, sent to associated eMail of MYBT, failed on my device screen.
2nd attempt. PASSCODE, texted to mobile, entered OK on my device and through to MYBT.
