Webmail - work around for bug that only shows first 50 emails in inbox - toggle view

Webmail - work around for bug that only shows first 50 emails in inbox -

I have found a workaround.

On the right of the menu bar there is "View"

I found that if I click on "view - Conversation View" the bug toggles on and off.

You can see the Inbox list Scroll bar change size.

I am using "Microsoft EdgeVersion 136.0.3240.76 (Official build) (64-bit)"

The bug seems to be that the number of group by conversations is limited and the "load more conversations " is broken.

That bug is really annoying and the solution toggles the bug on and off. You can see the scroll bar change size.

This bug is still annoying me on 18th May 2025. The solution toggles it on and off. I raised a complaint ticket.

It is not a bug!

"Conversation View" is designed to group all your emails that are in a "conversation" , i.e  ones that you have replied to using the "Reply To" function.

The following has been posted many times:-

"To make sure that the "Conversation" View is not active. To do that log onto your BTMail account and click on "View" in the menu bar at the right hand side. Scroll down and Single click "conversation view" to toggle it on or off.

When you toggle it on or off you will see the name "Conversation View" change colour from grey to blue when it is turned on".

Can you please not post the same thing across multiple threads as it only leads to duplication of any replies that you may get.

The feature prevents me reading all emails and conversations in my inbox.

I would expect the scroll down to fetch more conversations, but it does not.

You can change the sort order so you can the first 50 of the new sorted list.

You can toggle "view-Conversation - Message Options: Conversation View" between grouped by conversation and not grouped.

When it is not grouped and I has 99+ emails in my inbox, it gets the first 50 emails and if you scroll down it will get some more and scroll down again and it will get some more.

When you are in "grouped by Conversation" the function that gets more conversations does not get any more  so you cannot see all of the messages in the inbox.

Previously I tried using the refresh icon, and in the past that has loaded more emails, but this does not work today.

I now know for a fact I know of at least 3 or 4 people who do not appreciate this feature.

Bug, Defect, Issue, BS or SB. I worked on a "Project Bluephone " so we had Bloppers as that is what the out take program on the telly called them at the time.

When you do an SQL SELECT * from you can now use a LIMIT clause to select the data is managed chunks. This sort of functionality is missing here.
