Connection is awful on ps4 since jan 24th

online games are running very badly

its like im using a hotspot off of old mobile phone thats how bad it is

its horrible 

im using an ethernet cable something really bad is happening here

@Sml5678 Do you notice any of these issues when using your other devices for similar services like gaming on your PC?

If our technical team have ran all the checks on your connection they can for now, the best next steps would be ruling out that it is just a PS4 issue by comparing other devices on the same network. Have you been able to run a ping test or see it in game to confirm it is what is causing the issue?

I only play online games on the PS4 but its happening with more than 1 game

I can't remember the exact date it started but I did plug in the new BT Hub Smart 6

I don't know if its the HUB causing this or it's something else

Even people playing against me have told me my Internet is very very bad

this type of thing has never happend to me I've been with BT for over 15 years.

Is there a way to check the ping on the PS4 and on a laptop?

@Sml5678 Have you switched back to the old hub to test that? 

Some games allow you to show the ping as an overlay when playing so depends on the games you play you would have to google, that would be the best test to see if its a ping issue.

 Outside of that you can just use the browser app on the PS4 to connect to a speed test like Ookla which will show your ping or any ping test if you google. You can do the same on your laptop.
