BT or EE broadband

I am being asked if I want to upgrade to EE broadband for better speed.  We have always been with BT and had free access to TNT sport. I get 3Mb now with BT and access to Discovery+ as this is now where to find the sport.  If I upgrade will my speed increase and will I still have access to Discovery+???  I live in a rural location and we do not have access to fibre so don't see how my speed will improve.  Am I missing something!! Will my broadband come via the EE network and how does this make a difference.  Phone signals are not always good here.

Re: BT or EE broadband

If your broadband comes over a copper cable (either from the exchange, or from a street cabinet) then your speed CANNOT get faster changing from BT to EE. I'm afraid that BT/EE's sales agents will say ANYTHING to make a sale and get their commission.
Given the tales of woe detailed on this forum from people who have unwisely accepted BT's offer to go over to EE, my advice is don't do it! Stay with your present contract and, when that comes to an end, you don't need to accept another contract, you can simply go onto month to month billing
