" I found it necessary to ask what you were actually trying to accomplish as it wasn’t apparent ( not to me anyway)"
Opening sentence of my first post reads : "Our village hall wants to install broadband" I think that's a fair indication of what we are trying to accomplish!
".FYI the PO stopped being a retailer of telecommunications in Feb 2021 when it sold its ‘customers’ to Shell ."
This has nothing to do with the Post Office as a retailer of communications! The village hall was used on certain days of the week by the Post Office as - A POST OFFICE - hence the dedicated and possibly inaccessible line which was installed for their exclusive business use! As my first post reads "when the hall was used a couple of days a week by the Post Office"
I apologise if you find this unclear or confusing. I'm sure most people would understand that we are just exercising due diligence with regard to what may be some sort of bespoke data connection.
No apologies required, I’m certainly not offering you one , I wasn’t a party to the conversation you had with BT , perhaps you were you were the very epitome of clarity, and the BT representative was simply , much like myself , incapable of comprehending the clear instructions you imparted….shame that two separate, unlinked individuals, one BT employee , the other simply a BT customer, both couldn’t unable to follow whatever it was you were trying to impart without clarification.
You are just totally muddying the waters unnecessarily over this.
All you need to do is place an order, everything else is entirely irrelevant and of no interest to the agent despite what you might think.
