I'm assuming this is some sort of scam?
Received these texts on 22/11.
First text was indeed followed by a call from an 0800 number.
I hadn't been talking to anybody.

It's a standard BT template, are you having any broadband issues? BT do proactivly reach out to customers if their speeds are not what they should be, it's also used on complaints when pre-texting to give you notice to receive the call.

Give BT a call when you get time, the guide would of left notes to state why he tried to contact you.
There are several reasons why they might be contact you, it would all just be guess work until you get in touch.
