Adding BT Sport as a BT Broadband customer

Go to solution

Sorry if this is a simple question, I do as though I'm missing something somewhere... I have just joined BT as a Broadband customer and would like to use BT Sport. It seems as though to order BT sport I have to pay £15 a month. I thought it was a free addition to my broadband? Am I wrong? What am I missing?

@Moxy

Google search result, so may be out of date.
How can I watch BT Sport for free?

Remember if you're a BT Broadband customer, you can also watch BT Sport for free online at btsport.com and via the BT Sport app on your smartphone or tablet.

When BT Sport was introduced on 1st August 2013 it was indeed free to BT Broadband customers. It was free for the 2013/14 & 2014/15 football seasons. However, charges were first introduced from 2015/16. It appears to be a common misconception that it is still free to BT broadband customers.

It’s £15 pm for BT Broadband customers and you choose whether to take it on BT TV, or just online/app only. It’s currently £20 pm to have it on Sky. There are additional charges for HD/UHD, although it’s not available in UHD on Sky.
