Admin timeout issues

Hi, I have just come back to BT. New smart hub 2 etc. Alrighty, it now drops out far too often. The engineers came out, squared it all away tested, new master socket and appeared fine. As I waved them off the drive I glance over my shoulder and see the internet drop out. Doh. I have 3 ethernets, 1 to a switch, and them out to a TV, a powered ethernet to a hub and a third ethernet to a garden Room to a older bt hub and x box. I have looked at logs etc not clear. Any advice would.be great. Cheers Andy

Re: Admin timeout issues

Have you turned off smart setup in hub Manager?

Have you tried without  ethernet connected to see if that stops drops in connection. If that helps then reconnect 1 ethernet connectionat a time to see if still stable

Re: Admin timeAout issues

Hi, thanks yep I have turned smart set up off already, and it’s been we’re up etc. I’ll try unplugging , although I had treated the tv wireless, good signal etc but still dropped out. Even my WiFi’s phone drops and the iPad I am using now, maybe for 15 seconds or so. I’ll unplug tomoz and work it through. I’ll let you know. Thanks andy

Re: Admin timeAout issues

Hi @Andybarnes180,

Thank you for posting. How often does the connection drop out? When this happens does the hub restart?

Removing the ethernet connections as suggested by @imjolly will help to eliminate anything on your home network that could be causing the disconnections. I know from passed experience that switches can sometime cause the disconnection so I would probably look to eliminate that first.

Thanks

Paddy

Re: Admin timeAout issues

Hi, the flick off continues, the smart tv is now using the WiFi, some 4 m away in the roof, we are in a bungalow.

Obviously the phones are WiFi...does the tech log show anything obvious? Cheers Andy
