Hi all,
I had BT 900 broadband installed yesterday and when I run a speed test I'm getting about 90mbps not the 900mbps or 450mbps which is the guaranteed speed. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it? I tried calling the helpline but gave up after 48 minutes on hold!
How are you testing your speed, wired or wireless? Which speed test are you using? Fast.com is recommended for an ethernet connection.
Possibly a confusion between megabits and megabytes per second?
@Keith_Beddoe Possibly that's why I asked how and which test .
Thanks but there's no confusion they advertised and sold me BT 900 the fastest connection in the UK and I'm getting BT 900 the most mediocre connection in the UK. I previous had virgin 100mbsp and it averaged at 110mbps, this connection isn't even close to thoes speeds and is only 10% of what has been promised.
Hi thanks for the quick reply, I'm testing on WIFI using speed test pro. I know a wired connection would be faster but 810mbps faster?? It can't be that different surely.
Hey guys,
Also upload speed is faster than download??

Let us know when you've done a wired test.
Mine went down from 915 mbps to average 350...what’s going on?
