BT Freelance xd8500 Twin problems

Hi. I have BT Freelance xd8500 twin phones. Set up seemed to be OK. However, on incoming calls I can hear the callers but they cannot hear me. Mute/secrecy is not on. For outgoing calls, I get a dial tone but, although the number appears to be dialling per the display screen, it does not dial the number and the flat dial tone continues. Eventually, it says that there is a problem and that I should redial the number. So, I cannot receive calls or make them! Please help.

Sorry to see you're having problems with your BT Freelance XD 8500 handsets.  Have you tried an alternative handset to see if that sorts it?  If the issue is the BT Freelance XD 8500 handsets you'll need to have a word with product support.  I have included their contact details below.
