I Have BT Broadband and it is complexly horrible for trying to do anything on a good day which is very rarely I will be able to get 2mb/s download most of the time its only around 1 and sometimes even lower.
BT says in there ads that there internet is really good and it reaches the whole way across your house which is not true our internet is not able to reach to certain room in our house making it very frustrating when multiple people in the house are trying to do work or online classes.
Only 1 person is able to use the internet without it being completely horrible when there is usually 2 or 3 or more on it at once we have reached out to BT multiple times asking if we could get anything better or an upgrade or just anything to increase our speed which they have neglected it just seems like they don't care about there customers .

in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
