Are you subscribed for BT Sport 2nd box ? if you're subscribed via BT then a 2nd box subscription is £6 per month, your main subscription covers 1 box.

No, it's always been £6 for a 2nd box subscription, if you're paying for it get in touch with BT, if you're not then maybe at some point it was added the order never wrote back correctly, so you weren't charged but it went active. BT run system sweeps to detect issues and correct them when rerquired, either that or a recent change you've made has refreshed the system.
