I have a BT Whole Home WiFi booster
I have purchased a TCP smart plug and it requires a 2.4Ghz network. I have tried to connect to the whole home network but this is not working.
My broadband is provided by Virgin as far far as I can see, it has 2.4gh and 5ghz options. When I check the network settings the BT whole home network quote 5 ghz
My questions are:
Is the BT whole home extending only the 5ghz band and not the 2.4 band?
Is there any way of also extending the 2.4ghz network without compromising the speed we currently have so my plug with link up.
The required location for the plug is about 25m away from router....lots of walls / doors.
