BT activation date passed. Still no help

I ordered BT fibre broadband on 21st October, I was told my activation date would be 4th November. I called on the 4th and was told to wait until today 9th, still no Internet. So I've been told today that I now need to wait until 11th for openreach to review it. This is an absolute joke my Sky Internet was cancelled on 4th as that was my switch date, I am falling behind massively on course work for uni. Am I better going with another Internet provider as I've read on some people's post they have waited weeks to be connected. Is there a direct number to complain to openreach?

Re: BT activation date passed. Still no help

has your phone been transferred to BT and you have a dial tone?

moving to another provider at this stage will just put you further back in openreach queue  you cannot contact openreach as your contract is with BT not openreach

Re: BT activation date passed. Still no help

please delete number as public forum and you may get more scam calls that you want

you need an active phone line with a number to get broadband  it is immaterial if you use the landline you still need it and included in your package

the dslchecker will show what your line can sustain and also if there is a waiting list at your cabinet

Its worth checking to make sure the number matches the phone number that you are expecting. Dial 17070 and it will read back the number.
