Hi, does anyone know who is responsible for the cable piping to my property?
I have had an engineer out today to try to install my Full Fibre but my cable pipe is blocked- possibly with little stones.
As this pipe is used by BT and links to a BT service hatch, is it BTs responsibility to fix? I am leasehold so can speak to my Property Developer/leaseholder.
If it’s my responsibility, how and where do I look to get it cleared.
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to this user forum.
Its Openreach, not BT Retail who look after the external network. If one of their ducts are blocked, then they normally make arrangements to unblock it.
Who did you place your fibre order with?
There should be nothing for you to do, the guy trying to install the fibre will have reported it and made arrangements for it to be cleared.
Thank you.
I have spoken to BT and they also confirm this.
I was confused as my engineer said I had to speak to my developer or a drainage company and he’d have to record it as ‘house not ready’. I’m hoping he was just ill informed and I get the next engineer up with the clever tools to clear it.
BT will be chasing it for me, thanks again.
I’m with BT. They are sorting it. Thank you for your reply.
Hi there,
Can you remember how long it took to fix?
Can you remember how it took for them to come out and fix it. I'm in similar situation at the moment
It's totally irrelevant how long it took for the OP, every case will be unique. It will depend on staffing levels and workload in your area as well as the individual problem causing the blockage.
