Broadband Data extension

I have used three broadband suppliers which all utilise BT Open Reach.
Supplier 1) BT Infinity.

Suppler 2) Sky.

Supplier 3) Vodafone current.

After moving from BT to Sky there was a speed problem Sky Engineer fitted BT Mastersocket 5c Mk4. No problems .

Then my speeds started to drop when utilising external data cable .
When the WIFI Hub is connected to the master socket and the test socket speeds are 57.4 Mbps, as soon as  anything is connected to A+B ports whether the cable is 20 mm or 20Mtr the speed shows a drop of approximately 15Mbps?

Is this normal or what could cause this ?

Has anybody any ideas someone said it could be Rine and Shine but surely if that was so it would not matter if a data extension was used.

I guess just have to put up with WIFi hub in lounge as opposed to upstairs out of sight.

Any comments or advice would be appreciated.

thanks

Re: Broadband Data extension

Hi, @skybluebedrock who do you currently pay for your broadband?

Thanks

Re: Broadband Data extension

It sounds as though the data extension wiring is either faulty or picking up interference.

Re: Broadband Data extension

Thanks for your contact.

One thing that baffles is I purchased new Cat 6 cable which showed 15mmMbps drop, but the old cable showed 24Mbps drop.

I only left the new cable lying loose outside the house !!
