Broadband router dropping out

I live in a rural area with Broadband Unlimited BT Halo 3 (minimum guaranteed download speed will be 3 Mbps).  Not ideal but works ok usually.  However for the last two weeks or so I have been having problems - my devices lose connection even though router blue light is on and dont reconnect unless router is rebooted.  If I reboot the router the internet comes back but it is annoying as is happening at least once a day.  Any ideas? Thanks
