Hi there,
Recently in the past couple of months my broadband has become intermittent and significantly slower, in April a technician was sent who installed a pre-filtered master socket and the internet speeds went from ~40mbps down to ~60mbps down. This increase in speed and stability didn't last for long however as now the internet still frequently cuts out and the speeds are incredibly slow as posted below, any known fixes will be appreciated thanks.
welcome to the BT community forum where customers help customers and only BT employees are the forum mods
in order for the forum members to help please can you post the stats from your router (if hub enter 192.168.1.254 in your browser) and if HH5 then go to troubleshooting then helpdesk and if HH6/SH2 then advanced settings then technical log information .
Have you tried the quiet line test? - dial 17070 option 2 - should hear nothing - best done with a corded phone. if cordless phone you may hear a 'dull hum' which is normal
Someone may then be able to offer help/assistance/suggestions to your problem
Hi there,
I have done the quiet line test and it sounds perfectly fine there is no sound at all, I have got an image of my router stats here:
This may not be an hardware issue at all! See my post on the 'slow download speed' topic for a possible solution.
Have a read at this post as you may be having same problems
