Re: Connection and reconnection frequency

Ok, so may have had some success, maybe???

I did as @Keith_Beddoe suggested by adding a micro filter to the master test socket on 14th May and until today, the logs look like there were no reconnection events until today:

03:58:10 25 May. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=113897kbps
03:58:02 25 May. WAN Auto-sensing detected port DSL WAN
03:56:17 25 May. WAN Auto-sensing last connection port: DSL WAN
18:39:16 14 May. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=112520kbps
18:39:08 14 May. WAN Auto-sensing detected port DSL WAN
18:37:39 14 May. DSL Link Down: duration was 166345 seconds
20:25:22 12 May. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=117012kbps
20:25:14 12 May. WAN Auto-sensing detected port DSL WAN
20:23:27 12 May. WAN Auto-sensing last connection port: DSL WAN
02:23:09 02 May. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=123565kbps
02:23:01 02 May. WAN Auto-sensing detected port DSL WAN
02:21:31 02 May. DSL Link Down: duration was 179559 seconds
00:29:00 30 Apr. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=128376kbps
00:28:52 30 Apr. WAN Auto-sensing detected port DSL WAN
00:27:18 30 Apr. DSL Link Down: duration was 106176 seconds
18:57:50 28 Apr. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=118439kbps
18:57:43 28 Apr. WAN Auto-sensing detected port DSL WAN
18:55:57 28 Apr. WAN Auto-sensing last connection port: DSL WAN
01:08:55 28 Apr. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=121860kbps

not sure how many or what frequency this is supposed to happen?  You might well consider that it would try to renegotiate a higher speed periodically or refresh the connection maybe but for whatever reason is this plausible to happen periodically (albeit not at the frequency it was happening)???

If by adding the micro filter as indicated has solved the problem, do I get myself another one of these master sockets or is there a better alternative?

Thanks

Re: Connection and reconnection frequency

As disconnections appear to have reduced by using a filter then that suggests either a problem with master faceplate or internal wiring or both.  You could replace master faceplate and disconnect and internal extension wiring
