i have smart setup turned off.
i have not tried the quiet line test from the test socket. as the socket was installed by the engineer less then a week ago and he quality checked it before and after he finished.

face plate was changed as we previously used a filter, and the technician suspected that to be faulty.

have already done this, our plan information  does not show up on the account.

went in to detail with this with the BT employee and they told us to expect a letter in the mail with the account details to remedy that issue.

My step dad is the account holder. i have no idea how he has managed to do this, but its been done. he blames BT did the account information wrong. personally i just think he made a dogs dinner of the process and is too proud to admit it. either way this should be okay once the information from BT arrives to us.
