Hi had a new installation yesterday - but the hub is flashing purple still - I have checked all cables - doesn’t seem to be an issue - but the engineer yesterday did say glue couldn’t do the fibre but the broadband would still work - please help

If your broadband comes down your phone line, then have you checked for dial tone on your phone. If there is no dial tone, then you will not get broadband.

For basic testing, a cheap wired phone which costs less than £10, is all you need to prove it.
You need to check at the test socket to be sure.
What does your master phone socket look like?

Hi - well it turned out openreach hadn’t completed the job and we only actually got up and running yesterday. It has been a farce tbh - but hopefully all sorted now.
