Thanks for the update, Openreach should have completed the full commissioning tests, and this issue would have been found.

Apparently they knew - I’m not sure of the one and outs - but he told us the fibre wouldn’t work initially due to something in the box, but assured us we’d have broadband. Hit an update three days later saying we’d have service in the 29th, I rang and complained - arranged for someone to come last week - they didn’t - so it got escalated so finally someone came yesterday.
Wasn’t a happy bunny, but they sent me a mini hub to be getting on with.

Most likely a faulty port within the cabinet, or an internal cabinet wiring issue. These do take longer to be resolved, as they have to be looked at by a specialist team.

I think you have just been unlucky, as most installs are without problems.

It’s all sorted now - it’s just the lack of info that annoyed me.
But fingers crossed all good from here
