Depends on whose contractors they are and if the connection to the headend is complete. Then before install happens it has to be tested and signed off as ready to supply.

Last lot of fibres today jointed today by contractors . all finished on the estate according to jointer , what's the next phase for it to happen

so jointers have been doing joints  in the road and now have moved onto the small boxes outside the houses, Openreach 

engineer has been following them provably doing quality testing 

how long does it take form the end of the contractors finishing to be able to order
