I moved into a new build house last Friday and ordered 300mb FTTP service, initially having an activation date of 1 July. I subsequently got a text giving a delayed date of 6 July saying that the fibre network was not ready yet. Openreach engineer came on 30 June and intalled fibre and ONT and said all was working fine. Homehub 2 arrived while engineer was here so we plugged in and waited but got orange light on hub (3 green lights on ONT).
BT order tracker says service was activated on 1 July, but also an alert apologising for delay to 6th (due to network install delay) and saying a 'specialist team' was working on it.
In a live chat yesterday with someone from BT they said activation would occur by 23:59 on 1st (it didn't). Dialling the 08005874787 number some on here suggest for FTTP team just goes to the standard BT helpline and none of the options given are for connections or FTTP team.
Any advice on what to do? From what the Openreach engineer said I can see no reason why activation cannot happen, and I fear it won't happen on the 6th either given what the order tracker says! Help...

you need to try FTTP Team again as they are the people to help you 08005874787
Interestingly calling from landline at work gives different options than when I called from mobile! On hold with them now...
