FTTP to Netgear Nighthawk X6 (R8000)

Have got Smart hub 2 that I cannot put in modem only mode.

Is it possible to hook the Netgear Nighthawk R8000 direct to the FTTP openreach box? or do i need a dedicated modem?

The FTTP Openreach box (ONT) is the modem, you don't need another one. Just connect the Netgear directly.

I have my Nighthawk X6 connected directly to the ONT. No problems!

I thought I had but maybe it's not in the right place. I'm going to reset the router and try again.

I'm not sure what I had done to make it  not work before but it’s firing on all cylinders now.

one more thing, do you have a BT TV box? because mine isn't working now with the new router.
