Family SIM end of initial contract

I have 2 SIMs on a family SIM package, if at the end of the 12 month period I want to move the primary SIM (the first SIM that has the 12 month contract) to another provider, what happens to the remaining SIM?  Does it stay on the same SIM contract on a rolling 30 day contract or does it need moving?

The remaining sim would be a rolling 30 days as you said the minimum term has ended, any discounts for multi sims would be removed.
