I recently upgraded from Fibre 150 to Full Fibre 900 which went live yesterday. (My old Fibre 150 regularly ran at 140 - 160)
Speed tests though are showing I'm not getting close to these numbers. BT Wholesale is saying 413mb occasionally, fast.com is showing 380, speedtest is 367. The fastest I have seen on any test over the past 48 hours or so is 450. Most commonly though I am seeing 350mb more often than not.
Although the log does show the SH2 as having 1000 up and down connection speed.
As far as I'm aware "line training" is not a thing for FTTP. So what gives? Why am I only seeing such mediocre speeds from this package?
The SH2 will always show 1000Mb cconnection as that is the link speed between the hub and ONT. As to the problem there's already a thread about it here. https://community.bt.com/t5/BT-Fibre-broadband/Fibre-900-speeds-all-over-the-place/td-p/2027787
Are you using WiFi or ethernet?
@DomeWax He's gone onto the thread linked to above where he'll get much more advice. If you are having problems too I advise you to go there.
Cable or wifi makes negligible difference to the speeds I am seeing.
WiFi all supports ax too so it certainly supports whatever the SH2 can put out

😂😂🤣You don't know the SH2!
Problem is solved for me.
£180 router delivers all the advertised speeds.
@Lihp8270 which one did you get, thanks
ASUS RT-AX82U
As posted on the other topic, yes the Fibre 900 seems to have issues. On the 500 package, the connection seemed rock solid, but look at these from my Samknows box. It's up and down. My ping to changes from anywhere between 12-18ms
