Hi @Carlusha ,

I have never heard of Shell offering broadband, hence my query.  I thought Shell was an oil company.

Shell broadband.

i just rang suggested fttp number but it’s BT’s number and there is no fttp department. A really good member of sales told me it looks like I can get fibre but no further with problem:-/

The only way you will get fibre broadband is to go with a FTTP provider. Most ISP's don't offer it.

This is a BT retail forum so can only offer advice about BT.

Cheers. Our posts crossed.

Just about everyone offers broadband these days. So yes, Shell offer FTTC and not FTTP but, hey, the OP's local cabinet is full.

That begs the question as to why you're here when you should be addressing your queries/concerns with Shell.

It does doesn’t it? Shell are useless and I am stuck(possibly because they haven’t cancelled my order properly?).

I am not in a contract so here I am.I have had some good advice. Open reach have got back to me and said it is going to a specialist team.

Are potential bt customers ok here?

Did OR react to your questions or were they instructed by Shell? As far as I am aware, only ISPs may request work/repairs etc from OR. Am I wrong?

Thanks for your helpful message

I filled out a form to Openreach and a gentleman from open reach has got back to me saying he needs to put it through to a specialist team to investigate.

I don’t think that necessarily means any actual physical repair or work will happen. I don’t work for open reach so I don’t exactly know what ‘put it through to a specialist team’ involves or means?
