Flex 600 Ethernet Connection Speed

Hi Hoping somebody can answer this question. 

Can the Flex 600 connect beyond 100mbps to the home hub. I ask because my flex 600 kit only connects at 100mbps to the hub. without the adapters connecting direct to the hub I can get 1gb connection. 

I'm not talking about connection speed to the internet just from the PC to the hub via the flex 600.  I have no issues with the adapters they work fine just wanting to have a better internal connection speed and was wondering if this is a restriction of the units. 

I'm thinking of upgrading to the flex 1000 adapters but not sure if I will still have the same issue. I have tried the adapters in various sockets but always get a 100mbps connection via the Ethernet adapter properties info.

has anybody managed to get a higher internal connection above 100mbps?
