Re: Having interference from microwave. Can I split 5GHz and 2.4GHz channels on Smart Hub 2?

Thanks @gg30340 . I'll try some of the other options suggested but that could be my fallback. It's still under warranty so hopefully I can get an exchange. Kam

Re: Having interference from microwave. Can I split 5GHz and 2.4GHz channels on Smart Hub 2?

Hi @Kam and welcome back.

Thanks for posting about the interference. I had a similar problem a while back. The microwave was an older model so needed replacing anyway. A shiny new one sorted the problem and made the wife happy so win win for me.

Cheers

Thanks @DavidM . Mine's a reasonable whizzy new one. It's an inverter and 1,000W. Will probably exchange it if non of the suggestions work. Have a good weekend! 🙂

Re: Having interference from microwave. Can I split 5GHz and 2.4GHz channels on Smart Hub 2?

Hi @Adz75

My microwave is a new one of the 'inverter' variety and is quite powerful. Turns out that inverter microwaves cause more interference. I ended up switching to Sky Broadband where I was able to have both frequencies running on separate SSIDs. The smart devices are now all set to 5ghz and the problem is fixed. Some older devices in the house have to connect to the 2.4ghz network, but that's not a problem and everything is now fine.

Cheers.

Kam
