I recently got ADSL broadband from BT. I live 1700M from the exchange and have been getting very high ping, when trying to play on Xbox one. Normally 200ms or so, so basically unplayable. Is this due to distance or is there something I can do about it?
Would FTTC improve my ping at all? Line is capable of 8mbs down apparently. BT won’t let me order this yet, even though open reach engineer said I should be able to get it now. If I do a test on my phone, the ping is usually better.
